Metrics Management
Metrics are computed by packs and stored in the platform's relational database. They are used to generate analysis reports, dashboards, and issues.
Calculation Frequency
Packs are executed by agents on demand via the command line or through a routine configured in the web interface. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to limit the frequency of metric calculations to the update frequency of the source data.
A database registered as a source and updated weekly does not require metric calculations more than once per week.
Calculation Window
Metrics are computed over a time window, which depends on the computation time required by the pack and is directly related to the volume of the source. To optimize performance effectively, it is essential to define a calculation time window that is adapted to the source's volume.
